That living book, I read it for the first time as a student of the arts high school in Skopje… Back then I believed that the light is stronger than the infernal darkness. I believed that the soul is not a captive of the body, but its ruler. (Without doubting, can one harden one’s faith?)

…..

And now, when I draw and paint my Don Quixote, I always begin with Sancho. First – the earthly, the shadow and the carnal. I am surrounded by all of it. If I manage to overpower fall’s fertility, I might be able to paint the light. In it I will see both Don Quixote and the Master of Nazareth. On the cross and above it!
