GeorgievskiVladimir Georgievski was born in Skopje, on June 1st 1942.

He graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Skopje in 1963. The same year he commenced his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade and graduated in 1968. He completed his post-graduate studies at the same Academy in 1970 under the mentorship of Professor Mladen Srbinović. Upon his return to Skopje, he headed the arts department of the Youth Cultural Centre.

Between 1980 and 2012 he was a professor of drawing, painting and sculpting at the Faculty of Architecture,University of Sts. Cyril and Methodius, in Skopje. For a decade in the 1990s he taught esthetics of space and history of modern art, as well as stage design at the Film and Theatre Academy in Skopje. In the last years of his life, he was also teaching at the Faculty for audio-visual arts in Skopje too.

His stage and costume designs were parts of numerous theatre and film productions.

​Vladimir Georgievski won the highest state award for lifetime achievement in the field of culture, as well as  several other awards for his work as a painter and in theatre. 

​He took part in many national and international art colonies.

A bas-relief portrait of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky, by Vladimir Georgievski, was placed in the Dostoyevsky Museum in Saint Petersburg in November 2012.

He passed away in his native city, on 25 May 2017.

His works can be found in numerous public and private collections within and outside Macedonia.

2014 – Lifetime achievement award in the field of arts by the OSTEN World Gallery of Cartoons and Drawings

2012 – Lifetime achievement award in the field of theatre, by the Macedonian theatre festival “Vojdan Černodrinski”

1995 – Best scenography award by the Macedonian theatre festival “Vojdan Černodrinski” for the performance “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead”

1992 – Best scenography award by the Macedonian theatre festival “Vojdan Černodrinski” for the performance “Old photographs”

1995 – Best scenography award for the performance “Bloody weddings” by the Theatre an der Ruhr, West Rhine Westphalia, Germany

1975 – Best scenography award by the Steriino pozорiste Festival for the performance “Jane Zadrogaz”, Belgrade

Best scenography award by the theatre festival ”Bosansko-hercegvoski smotre” for the performance “Glorija”, Sarajevo
