Vladimir Georgievski was born in Skopje, on June 1st 1942.
He graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Skopje in 1963. The same year he commenced his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade and graduated in 1968. He completed his post-graduate studies at the same Academy in 1970 under the mentorship of Professor Mladen Srbinović. Upon his return to Skopje, he headed the arts department of the Youth Cultural Centre.
Between 1980 and 2012 he was a professor of drawing, painting and sculpting at the Faculty of Architecture,University of Sts. Cyril and Methodius, in Skopje. For a decade in the 1990s he taught esthetics of space and history of modern art, as well as stage design at the Film and Theatre Academy in Skopje. In the last years of his life, he was also teaching art at the Faculty for Film Arts at the Europa Prima University in Skopje.
His stage and costume designs were part of numerous theatre and film productions.
Vladimir Georgievski won the highest state award for lifetime achievement in the field of culture, as well as several other awards for his work as a painter and in theatre.
He took part in many national and international art colonies.
A bas-relief portrait of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky, by Vladimir Georgievski, was placed in the Dostoyevsky Museum in Saint Petersburg in November 2012.
He passed away in his native city, on 25 May 2017.
His works can be found in numerous public and private collections within and outside Macedonia.
